The Basics
The rental version is a good way to get Sirid up and running with minimal effort and cost. We will host your Sirid on our server, automatically verify that the system is up-to-date and handle also other server maintenance tasks. The rental version contains all the functionality of the Professional version (excluding the Administrator tools -> Maintenance -page). Your version of Sirid will be accessible at https://www.sirid.com/yourcompany
Purchasing
In order to register for the rental service, send email to sales ( at ) thraexsoftware.com and state your basic information (company name, contact name, company contact information). We will then send you further details.

Cost
Basic fee of the rental version is 35 USD per month. This price includes all the normal functionality, 100 MB disk space for attachments and 512 MB of traffic per month. There are no starting fees. You can purchase following extra services:
Extra disk space $5 per month per 50 MB
Extra disk space may be required if you store a lot of large attachments. The extra space must be purchased in quantities of 50 MB. Normally the maximum disk space per customer is 300 MB but larger quantities can be agreed on separately.
Backup service $10 per month
Normally all the data is stored only on the hosting server. The hosting server has two RAID 1 hard disks and the database contents are regularly backed up to a different location on the hosting server. The data could still be lost in case of fire, total system failure, or other unexpected condition. With the backup service all the data is transferred once a month into another machine located in different premises than the hosting server.
Extra traffic $5 per month per 512 MB
If the system is accessed extensively the traffic load can grow rather large. The system continuously keeps track of the amount of data transferred to you from the server. If the amount of data grows too large you will be charged extra fee. Note that instead of locking up the system before the extra fee is paid, the extra fee will be automatically added to your next invoice. The system will send you a notification message each time your usage is about to reach the next traffic limit so that you can limit the usage if you wish.
The service is billed in two month instalments beforehand. Note that we can currently accept only payments made using either Visa or MasterCard/EuroCard. (This limitation applies only to the rental version; the regular licenses can be purchased using various other cards and methods.)

Terms
The standard Sirid license agreement terms apply also to the rental version. In addition the following terms apply:
1. In case of any software or hardware failure, loss of information, disclosure of information, and any other unexpected, unintentional condition, the amount of the possible indemnity is limited to the sum paid during the last 12 months. With the minimum fee this sum equals 420 USD. This applies to both the service provider (Thraex Software) and the customer.
2. Average uptime of the hosting server has been more than 99% but Thraex Software cannot give any kind of warranties for the future functionality of the server. If the server is inaccessible for more than 24 hours (counting from the first notification sent to support@thraexsoftware.com), the customer is entitled to a refund of downtime_days/30*monthly_fee. That is, if the monthly fee is $50 and the server is down 3 days, the refund is 3/30*$50=$5. The refund is deducted from the next invoice. The deduction is done only if separately requested by the customer.
3. The rental agreement can be terminated by either of the agreement parties for any reason. The termination period is one month. That is, if the service is terminated 15th January, it will be functional and will be billed till the end of February.
4. When the service is terminated (by either party), Thraex Software will provide the customer all the customer's data stored on Thraex Software's server. Currently the data comprises the database contents and attachments. The provided data can be migrated into another Sirid installation.
5. The customer will not gain ownership of the Sirid license: When the rental agreement is terminated and the customer wants to host Sirid on his own server, the customer will have to purchase a full priced regular license.
